Vee Cove (Isla Carmen) - BCS, Mexico

Vee cove is one of my favorite anchorages, but its one which can be quite hard to get the right weather window for. You are nestled in between beautiful cliffs, surrounded by sea caves, with a white sandy beach.

There's room for 2-3 boats, and if you are feeling bold you can go right up to the beach and set a stern anchor to keep you off the cliffs.

Unfortunately it is exposed to the north, and if *ANY* wind comes from that direction it will become a scary lee shore in the space of a few minutes.

Totally worth it though, snorkeling in and around the sea caves is pretty good fun, and there's nice hiking opportunities ashore too. A dinghy trip out to Punta Lobos makes for a fun afternoon too, there's not much there, but you can get ashore to the light and get a nice view out along the coast of isla carmen.

Anchor in 15-25 ft, we usually anchor just outside the last constriction in the bay, which gives us plenty of swing room. Its pretty deep right up to the walls.
