About this Anchorage
Shangri La is a cute little cove just outside the main bay of San Carlos, it's great alternative to the bay proper in the right weather. Compared to San Carlos, it's a lot quieter and more intimate a setting, tucked into the surrounding cliffs.
At sunset it can be pretty busy with tour groups going to checkout the rock arch, and there isn't much of a beach to go land on, but its a great location for exploring the wider bay of San Carlos or the sea caves.
Anchoring Notes
Anchor in 15-25 ft over sand tucked in either of the two lobes. Protection from northerly winds is pretty good, but swell will wrap around.
