Isla Partida is a beautiful anchorage and one of our all time favorites. The wide bay affords great protection from southerly weather, and can be a very tranquil and relaxing place to spend some time.
There isn't much ashore although you can hike up onto the island a bit if you don't mind scrambling around. The main action is in the water. Fishing is good along the reefs around the island, snorkeling is excellent within the bay and beyond.
About a mile or so north there is a massive sea lion colony, not as friendly as those in los Islotes near La Paz, but you can get up and personal with them and just watch the general bafoonery without much effort.
A kayak trip around the island makes for a beautiful sunset trip.
Anchoring Notes
We anchor in 20ft off the beach in the south west corner of the main bay, or over around 20ft on the south side wherever we get the best protection from the prevailing wind.
