Honeymoon cove is a delightful three lobed bay a few miles from Puerto Escondido. It's a great place to hangout in most weather, with hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking all viable options.
There are three lobes, north, east, and south, the northern one is quite tight, and you may wish to set a stern anchor if you are snugging right up there, but the others are pretty easy anchorages.
It's a popular place however, and space can fill up fast.
This is a nice option if you don't want to spend the money on a mooring in Puerto Escondido (As is Ensenada Blanca) but need to pop in for some groceries, fuel or whatever.
If you are in Escondido, this is an easy dinghy or kayak trip, whcih makes for a nice afternoon out.
Anchoring Notes
Read the cruising guide for the best depths and locations, but we typically anchor in about 20ft over sand in the southern lobe, and 15-20 in the northern part. Holding is good, but watch your swing space in the northern parts.
