About this Anchorage
Dalcahue is a wonderful little town with one of the oldest wooden churches in Chile. There is fuel on the dock, although you'll probably need to use jerry cans to portage it from the smaller nozzle which is up the ramp and ashore. Prices here are about 5% higher than the pump price which you can get about 200M down the road if you don't mind the carry. Water is also available, but you'll need to jostle with the fishing fleet which use this is a resupply base.
In the town there are a number of fruterias, small grocery stores, and bakeries to get fresh stores.
There is a good sized craft market selling wicker and knitted wares, which make great gifts. Inside the market you'll also find plenty of good eating options.
The anchorage is well protected but has a strong current and lots of traffic.
Anchoring Notes
Anchor in suitable depth as close to the town as you dare, taking care to give plenty of space to access the dock. Watch out for mooring balls, which may, when the fleet return, hold 5 or more large fishing boats.
You can tie up at the floating dock in the dingy, again leaving space for the fishing boats to come and go.
