About this Anchorage
Los frailles is the only anchorage near Cabo Pulmo you can drop the hook, it offers modest protection from northerly weather, but a lot of wrap around swell is possible, it is wide open from the south and can be quite uncomfortable in anything but calm weather.
On the other hand, Cabo Pulmo is a pretty amazing place, and it is worth the stop.
Anchoring Notes
Anchor outside the marine park, but on the north side of the bay on a steep shelf, watch out for mooring bouys and fishing gear.
