4G dataStarlinkAbout this Anchorage
There's a lot of history around Playa Algodones from the filming of catch 22, and it's a beautiful san dune lined bay. At the northwest end is the Soggy Peso bar, which is an institution in itself. Protection isn't great but tucked in close to the islets and you can ride out most northerly weather.
There's a lot going on ashore, and in the water, with good snorkelling around the rocky islets, and hiking and horse riding ashore.
Anchoring Notes
Anchor in 20ft off the beach, you can anchor pretty much anywhere in the bay, but either end provides better protection from the weather.
Jet Skis and motorboats can be a pain in the ass during the day, but it quietens down as soon as the sun sets.
